BJJ suits
A BJJ suit, also called a BJJ gi or kimono, is the uniform worn in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It has three parts: a heavy cotton jacket, reinforced trousers and a belt. Torrab Sports makes custom BJJ gis for gyms, fight brands and shops that sell their own kit. We weave, cut, sew and brand the gi in our factory in Sialkot, so your academy name and colours go straight onto the mat.
BJJ academies, MMA gyms and grappling shops across the UK, Europe, the Gulf and North America buy their wholesale BJJ suits from us. They come back because the weave holds up to hard rolling, the collar is tough to grip, and the fit and colours match their team.

Our BJJ Gi Range
We make custom BJJ gis in a few main types. Most academies start with one weave, then add more once they see how it sells.
Pearl Weave BJJ Gi
Pearl weave BJJ gis are the most popular type. The pearl weave is a strong, light cotton weave that holds up to hard training without weighing a fighter down. We make it at 350 to 450 gsm, which is competition-friendly and comfortable for daily rolling. This is the best all-round choice for most academies.
Lightweight Competition Gi
Lightweight competition gis are cut and woven to be as light as the rules allow, so a fighter makes weight and moves fast. They still use a strong pearl weave and reinforced stitching, so they last, but every extra gram is trimmed for tournament day.

Order Process
Send Your Design
Send us your logo, colours and the sizes you need. A finished design or a rough idea both work.
Check the Proof
We make a full-colour picture of your gi. You check it and approve it before we start.
Sample & Bulk
We make one sample gi for you to try. Once you are happy, we make the full order.
QC & Delivery
We check every gi before packing. Then we ship it the cheapest safe way to your door.
Aftersales
If any item has a real fault, we will remake it or give you a discount. We want repeat orders.
Gold Weave Heavy Gi
Gold weave gis use a heavier, denser cotton weave of 550 gsm and up. They have the old-school heavy feel that some grapplers prefer, and they last a very long time. This type suits fighters who want a tough, traditional gi over a light competition cut.
Ripstop and Hybrid Gi
Ripstop gis use a light, tear-resistant fabric, often on the trousers, so the gi dries fast and packs small. Ripstop is a woven fabric with a grid pattern that stops small tears from spreading. This type suits warm weather, travel and fighters who want the lightest kit.
Kids and Youth Gi
Kids BJJ gis are made on proper youth sizes, from M0 upwards, not shrunk-down adult gis. The same pearl weave, tough collar and reinforced knees carry over, so young grapplers get a real gi that fits and lasts through hard training.
Women's Gi
Women’s BJJ gis use a cut shaped for a woman’s body, with sizes from F1 to F4, not a resized men’s gi. The fit through the shoulders, waist and hips is built for how female grapplers move, in every weave and colour we offer.
What Our BJJ Suits Are Made Of
Most suppliers just say “high quality cotton.” We give you the real details, so you can compare us with any other maker on facts.
| Weave | Weight | Best For | What It Does |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pearl Weave | 350–450 gsm | Training and competition | Light, strong, the most popular weave |
| Heavy Pearl Weave | 500–550 gsm | Hard rolling and durability | Thicker, tougher, long-lasting |
| Gold Weave | 550–750 gsm | Old-school heavy feel | Very durable, traditional weight |
| Ripstop | Lightweight | Warm weather and travel | Very light, tear-resistant, dries fast |
The jacket collar is filled with EVA foam, a firm rubber-like padding, so it is hard for an opponent to grip and choke with. The stress points, where the gi is pulled hardest during rolling (the name for BJJ sparring), are triple-stitched, which means sewn three times so they do not tear. The same care carries into our rash guards, so an academy’s gi and no-gi kit share one standard.
The trousers have reinforced knees and a strong rope drawstring with belt loops, so they stay up through a hard scramble. Every gi is pre-shrunk, so it keeps its size after washing, and the sizes follow the standard IBJJF chart from A0 to A5, plus women’s and kids’ sizes. IBJJF is the main body that sets the rules for BJJ competitions.
Your Own Brand on the Gi
Building your own academy brand or gi label is a big step. It works best when your factory is set up for OEM and private label work, not treating custom orders as a one-off. Most of what we make is private label, and here is how the order runs from start to finish.
- Tell us what you want. Share your design, colours, weave and sizes. We tell you early if a choice will not meet competition rules, before it costs you money.
- Approve the proof. We send a full-colour picture of the gi. You check the layout and patches, and changes here cost nothing.
- Get a sample. We make one real sample gi in your weave and colours. The sample cost comes off your first bulk order.
- Check the sample. You try it for fit, weave and branding. One round of small changes is included.
- We make the order. We run your batch on its own, so every gi matches in colour and size.
- We check quality. We look over every gi for stitching, collar, patches and sizing before packing.
- We pack and ship. Your order ships in branded bags with all the export papers.
Wholesale Prices and Order Sizes
Our wholesale BJJ gi price drops as your order grows. A small academy and a national shop both fit a tier.
Order Size | Minimum Sets | Price Level | Usual Lead Time |
Starter Wholesale | 20 sets per design | Standard wholesale rate | 20 to 30 working days |
Trade Volume | 50 to 199 sets | Volume discount | 18 to 25 working days |
Distributor | 200 to 499 sets | Distributor price with full branding | 20 to 28 working days |
Container Level | 500 sets and above | Factory-direct price, FOB Sialkot | 25 to 35 working days |
The price per gi changes with the weave, the weight and the branding you pick. Gold weave and heavy gis cost more than a light pearl weave. We send a full price list within 24 to 48 hours of your brief. New trade accounts pay half up front, with the rest before we ship. Repeat orders of the same design have no minimum.
Who We Make BJJ Suits For
We supply a few types of business. They all want the same thing: gis that survive hard rolling and hold their size, orders that arrive on time, and a maker who keeps in touch.
BJJ Academies and Gyms
A team gi builds unity and identity on the mat, and it sells to members for a profit. Academies that order our MMA shorts for no-gi classes add gis to the same order, so members get their full kit in one place.
Fight Brands and Gi Labels
Gi labels build a full range around their kimonos. We keep your design and patch layout on record, so reorders and new batches are quick.
Combat Sports Shops
Shops need gis that sell to many customers and hold enough profit to earn their shelf space. We keep ready designs for quick top-ups and make full custom runs for shops with their own brand.
Distributors and Import Businesses
Distributors get container prices and our help with export papers for the EU, the Gulf, and North America. We handle labels and papers for each country.
Tournament Organisers
Events order team and competitor gis with event branding. We can meet tight event deadlines on small and mid-size runs.
Where We Make Your Gis
Sialkot and the wider region have made martial arts uniforms for the world for many years. The area has the skilled weaving, cutting and sewing teams and the export setup that keep our lead times steady. Because the cotton, thread and trims all come from nearby, our prices stay stable too.
Torrab Sports owns its own factory floor and hires its own cutters and sewers. Your order never passes through a chain of middlemen. We watch every step ourselves, so we always know where your order stands.
Branding on the Gi
A clear brand on the gi looks professional on the mat and in photos. We can brand every part a grappler and a crowd see.
Embroidered Patches
Your logo and academy name are embroidered as patches on the jacket, sleeves, and trousers, in the spots you choose.
Sublimated Lapel
The inside of the collar can be printed with a full-colour design, a popular touch on custom gis that shows when the lapel folds.
Custom Colours
You pick the gi colour and the contrast stitching. White, blue and black are legal for competition, and any colour works for training gis.
Belt and Packaging
We can supply matching belts and branded bags, hang tags and boxes, so the whole set is ready for the shelf.
How We Check Quality
We check quality at three stages, not just once at the end. Catching a problem early costs far less than fixing a whole batch.
First, we check the cotton weave and thread before cutting. Next, we check the first gis off the line against your sample, then keep spot-checking through the run. Last, we check every gi for stitching, the collar, the patches, and sizing before it is packed.
We send photo-quality reports if you ask. Big orders can have an outside check from a firm like QIMA before shipping. Academies that add our boxing t-shirts to an order get the same checks on every item, so the standard stays the same.
Shipping Around the World
We ship BJJ gis to businesses in over 40 countries. Small orders and samples go by DHL Express or FedEx, and reach the UK and Europe in three to five working days. Medium orders go by air freight in five to eight working days to the UK, USA and Australia. Large orders go by sea, and reach major UK and European ports in 18 to 25 days.
Every order includes an invoice, a packing list and a certificate of origin. We know the import rules for the UK, the EU, the Gulf and Australia, and we sort the right papers before your order ships.

Frequently ASKED QUESTIONS
What is the smallest order for custom BJJ gis?
The smallest order is 20 sets per design and colourway. This covers pearl weave, gold weave and ripstop gis. Repeat orders of a design you have already approved have no minimum.
What weave do you use for your BJJ gis?
We use 100% pre-shrunk cotton in pearl weave, gold weave and ripstop. Pearl weave at 350 to 450 gsm is the most popular for training and competition, while gold weave is heavier and more traditional.
Are your gis legal for competition?
Yes. We make gis to IBJJF-legal weights and colours, with white, blue and black available and patches placed to the rules. Tell us your competition body, and we match its requirements.
What sizes do you make?
We make adult sizes A0 to A5, women’s sizes F1 to F4, and kids’ sizes from M0 upwards. All follow the standard sizing chart used in BJJ.
Why is the collar so firm?
The collar is filled with EVA foam, a firm rubber-like padding, so it is hard for an opponent to grip and choke with. It also keeps its shape after washing.
Can I get a sample before the full order?
Yes. We make one sample gi in your weave and colours first. The sample cost comes off your first bulk order.
Do you brand the gi and the packaging?
Yes. We add embroidered patches, print the inner lapel, colour the stitching and add matching belts and branded bags. We confirm all of this on the sample.
Do you make kids and women's gis?
Yes. We make kids’ gis on proper youth sizes and women’s gis on a women’s cut, not a resized men’s gi. Both come in every weave and colour.
Do you offer FOB pricing for big orders?
Yes. We give FOB Sialkot pricing on container orders of 500 sets and above. We can also suggest freight forwarders for the trip from Sialkot to your port.
What are the payment terms for new accounts?
New trade accounts pay half up front when the order is confirmed, and the rest before we ship. Regular accounts can ask about longer terms.
